Sarah Mitchell

Sarah Mitchell has been sewing for around eight years, starting because she couldn't find clothes that fitted and working up from skirts and tops to dresses, trousers and jackets — with the occasional quilt, bag and cushion along the way. She sews from Bristol, England, on a domestic machine and an overlocker (serger), and she isn't a teacher or a professional: she's an experienced sewist who can tell when an article was written by someone who has never inserted an invisible zip. StitchProven is research-led — we verify the manufacturers' published specifications rather than sewing on the machines we write about — and Sarah reads what we publish and tells us where it's wrong.
